In some crossover news between hip-hop and fashion Highsnobiety has reported that A$AP Rocky has collaborated with Jeremy Scott and adidas Originals to release his own signature sneakers. They’re called the JS Wings 2.0 Black Flag. The shoe draws inspiration from the flag in the cover art for A$AP Rocky’s debut album “Long.Live.A$AP“, featuring all black stars and stripes and wings on the heels.
A$AP Rocky and Jeremy Scott have been longtime fans of each other’s work. Rocky mentioned Scott in the song “Out of This World” and wore a pair of sneakers designed by Scott in the “Purple Swag” music video. Rocky also lent his face for an adidas commercial and their #QuickAintFair campaign.
“Taz Arnold TI$A, Jeremy Scott Adidas
Maison Martin Margiela, three strap sneakers”
Commonly known as “DAT PMF” (we’ll let you figure out what it stands for.) Rocky is known to be extremely fashionable and it shows in his collaboration with Scott along with his music (not just in the line above) but also in his song “Ghetto Symphony”
“Yeah, my mouth is full of gold and I’m a city boy
And my outfit was in Vogue, I’m a pretty boy”
More information will be released as soon as it becomes available. For now, enjoy a picture of the shoes found on Instagram that are bound to be ridiculously overpriced (yet insanely stylish) because they have a popular rapper’s name attached to them. Enjoy from afar.
