Pusha T has released his latest single from his upcoming debut solo album “My Name Is My Name”, titled “Sweet Serenade“, featuring the vocals of Chris Brown on the chorus and production from the legendary Swizz Beats. Immediately after the release of the song King Push had “#MNIMN108” (referencing the album’s title and release date of October 8th) trending globally on Twitter. After the “Numbers on the Boards” rapper called his debut solo album the “best album of the year” he has a lot of hype to live up to. Here we have a single that ultimately continues to feed that hype. In-between fueling his own braggadocio and calling out the “picture-rappers” in the game today Push ultimately manages to show his grit and ferocity with “Sweet Serenade.”
“This Sergio Tacchini life we uphold
You just posing for them pics so you can upload”
Chris Brown’s vocals are a nice touch, adding his own ferocity to the track in his own manner. Continually pushing his “#CarpeDiem” attitude and despite all of the hate that he gets he still proves he has quite the voice and is a monstrous hook-maker. Almost to the point that no matter how much you hate him, you have to love him. This coming from someone who really, really doesn’t like Breezy.
“I’d rather say I did and let them buzzards say I didn’t
L-l-let them talk about it man, I’m already living.”
